Bewitched

Today I felt like ditching the whole traditional black witch thing for this gorges smoky plum, feathery gown that you can grab for free at Cover Girl. A free floppy hat by Djinn & Tonic, a free broomstick + a striking $10L metallic plum makeup layer added festive touches; some free classic 2-row pearls classed it up a notch.
A word about this pose: there's a nice 5-pose set for free by Idea Motus that's way fun for us photogs (i.e., a bit different than your usual ho-hum standing variety, especially if you experiment with different angles). Most def worth a scoop!

Puppy Love

Creator Jon Haskell of Sculpty Creations has generously set out the. kyootest. tote bag with this adorables golden labrador puppy inside (his pink tongue actually wiggles!) for us Free*Stylers to scoop for the low price of . . . free. The bag itself is a lovely rose hue + there's beautifully shaded blooms tucked inside too. *mwuahs Jon Haskell*
I named mine Brownie (after the blonde brownies that Gavin likes). Brownie was actually very patient with Gavin during this photo shoot (Gavin kept yelling "Squirrel!" -- not helpful in the least).

This delicate, apricot colored dress is also free, courtesy of Hal Hina in honor of their 2nd anniversary. (There's a free blonde ponytail hair that you can win in a nearby lucky board as well).

Good Night, Sweet Jill

In a sad move, Jill will be closing shop this Wednesday, August 11. In something of a rare accomplishment for SL, creator Jill Lemon always got the whole pretty, not slutty thing just right: resulting in super-feminine styles that erred on the side of classic, oozing sexy in her own soft way. *mwuahs Jill Lemon*
The Jill store is easily one of the most generous on the grid. The store's lower mezzanine boasts a long wall of 14 free group gifts (from dresses to gloves + even a cute black straw bag); plus 2 lucky boards + this pretty white sundress for free (buy the sign out in the fields for $0L outside the store here). The entire store is 50% off until closing as well.
In a gracious move telling of creator Jill Lemon's generosity, there are now 3 new free closing gifts in the middle of the store (look for them below the white sign that says "Thank you"). These cute overalls and pants, shirt + hair ribbon are from these new gifts.
Gavin is wearing a former Jill group gift sweater, which is still available as a gift on the far right of the group gift wall. See how G likes to exert his sweater dominance over me sometimes.
